{الم} الله أعلم بمراده بذلك.

Sahih International

Alif, Lam, Meem.

Dr. Ghali

Alif, Lam, Mim. (These are the names of three letters from the Arabic alphabet, probably indicating that this inimitable Revelation, the Qur'an, is made of this Arabic alphabet. Only Allah Knows their meaning here).

Indonesian

Alif laam miim.

ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

ذلك الكتاب لا ريب فيه هدى للمتقين

{ ذلك } أي هذا { الكتاب } الذي يقرؤه محمد { لا ريب } لا شك { فيه } أنه من عند الله وجملة النفي خبر مبتدؤه ذلك والإشارة به للتعظيم { هدىً } خبر ثان أي هاد { للمتقين } الصائرين إلى التقوى بامتثال الأوامر واجتناب النواهي لاتقائهم بذلك النار.

Sahih International

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah -

Dr. Ghali

That is the Book, there is no suspicion about it, a guidance to the pious.

Indonesian

Kitab (Al Quran) ini tidak ada keraguan padanya; petunjuk bagi mereka yang bertakwa,

الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ

الذين يؤمنون بالغيب ويقيمون الصلاة ومما رزقناهم ينفقون

{ الذين يؤمنون } يصدِّقون { بالغيب } بما غاب عنهم من البعث والجنة والنار { ويقيمون الصلاة } أي يأتون بها بحقوقها { ومما رزقناهم } أعطيناهم { ينفقون } في طاعة الله.

Sahih International

Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them,

Dr. Ghali

Who believe in the Unseen, and keep up the prayer, and expend of what We have provided them,

Indonesian

(yaitu) mereka yang beriman kepada yang ghaib, yang mendirikan shalat, dan menafkahkan sebahagian rezeki yang Kami anugerahkan kepada mereka.

وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ وَبِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ

والذين يؤمنون بما أنزل إليك وما أنزل من قبلك وبالآخرة هم يوقنون

{ والذين يؤمنون بما أنزل إليك } أي القراَن { وما أنزل من قبلك } أي التوراة والإنجيل وغيرهما { وبالآخرة هم يوقنون } يعلمون.

Sahih International

And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].

Dr. Ghali

And who believe in what has been sent down to you, and what has been sent down (even) before you, and they constantly have certitude in the Hereafter.

Indonesian

dan mereka yang beriman kepada Kitab (Al Quran) yang telah diturunkan kepadamu dan Kitab-kitab yang telah diturunkan sebelummu, serta mereka yakin akan adanya (kehidupan) akhirat.

أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ

أولئك على هدى من ربهم وأولئك هم المفلحون

{ أولئك } الموصوفون بما ذكر { على هدىّ من ربِّهم وأولئك هم المفلحون } الفائزون بالجنة الناجون من النار.

Sahih International

Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.

Dr. Ghali

Those are upon guidance from their, and those are they who are the prosperers.

Indonesian

Mereka itulah yang tetap mendapat petunjuk dari Tuhan mereka, dan merekalah orang-orang yang beruntung.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

إن الذين كفروا سواء عليهم أأنذرتهم أم لم تنذرهم لا يؤمنون

. { إن الذين كفروا } كأبي جهل وأبي لهب ونحوهما { سواء عليهم أأنذرتهم } بتحقيق الهمزتين وإبدال الثانية ألفاً وتسهيلها وإدخال ألف بين المسهلة والأخرى وتركه { أم لم تنذرهم لا يؤمنون } لعلم الله منهم ذلك فلا تطمع في إيمانهم، والإنذار إعلام مع تخويف.

Sahih International

Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.

Dr. Ghali

Surely, the ones who have disbelieved, it is equal to them whether you have warned them or have not warned them, they do not believe.

Indonesian

Sesungguhnya orang-orang kafir, sama saja bagi mereka, kamu beri peringatan atau tidak kamu beri peringatan, mereka tidak juga akan beriman.

خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰ أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

ختم الله على قلوبهم وعلى سمعهم وعلى أبصارهم غشاوة ولهم عذاب عظيم

{ ختم الله على قلوبهم } طبع عليها واستوثق فلا يدخلها خير { وعلى سمعهم } أي مواضعه فلا ينتفعون بما يسمعونه من الحق { وعلى أبصارهم غشاوة } غطاء فلا يبصرون الحق { ولهم عذاب عظيم } قوي دائم.

Sahih International

Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment.

Dr. Ghali

Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing; and on their be-holdings (i.e. eyesights) is an envelopment. And for them is a tremendous torment.

Indonesian

Allah telah mengunci-mati hati dan pendengaran mereka, dan penglihatan mereka ditutup. Dan bagi mereka siksa yang amat berat.

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَمَا هُم بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

ومن الناس من يقول آمنا بالله وباليوم الآخر وما هم بمؤمنين

ونزل في المنافقين: { ومن الناس من يقول آمنا بالله وباليوم الآخر } أي يوم القيامة لأنه آخر الأيام { وما هم بمؤمنين } روعي فيه معنى من، وفي ضمير يقول لفظها.

Sahih International

And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah and the Last Day," but they are not believers.

Dr. Ghali

And of mankind (there) are some who say, "We have believed in Allah and in the Last Day." And in no way are they believers.

Indonesian

Di antara manusia ada yang mengatakan: "Kami beriman kepada Allah dan Hari kemudian," pada hal mereka itu sesungguhnya bukan orang-orang yang beriman.

يُخَادِعُونَ اللَّهَ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَمَا يَخْدَعُونَ إِلَّا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ

يخادعون الله والذين آمنوا وما يخدعون إلا أنفسهم وما يشعرون

{ يخادعون الله والذين آمنوا } بإظهار خلاف ما أبطنوه من الكفر ليدفعوا عنهم أحكامه الدنيوية { وما يخدعون إلا أنفسهم } لأن وبال خداعهم راجع إليهم فيفتضحون في الدنيا بإطلاع الله نبيه على ما أبطنوه ويعاقبون في الآخرة { وما يشعرون } يعلمون أن خداعهم لأنفسهم، والمخادعة هنا من واحد كعاقبت اللص وذكر الله فيها تحسين، وفي قراءة وما يخدعون.

Sahih International

They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.

Dr. Ghali

They try to deceive Allah and (the ones) who have believed, and in no way do they deceive (anyone) except themselves, and in no way are they aware.

Indonesian

Mereka hendak menipu Allah dan orang-orang yang beriman, padahal mereka hanya menipu dirinya sendiri sedang mereka tidak sadar.

فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمُ اللَّهُ مَرَضًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ

في قلوبهم مرض فزادهم الله مرضا ولهم عذاب أليم بما كانوا يكذبون

{ في قلوبهم مرض } شك ونفاق فهو يمرض قلوبهم أي يضعفها { فزادهم الله مرضاً } بما أنزله من القرآن لكفرهم به { ولهم عذاب أليم } مؤلم { بما كانوا يُكذّبوِن } بالتشديد أي: نبي الله، وبالتخفيف أي قولهم آمنا.

Sahih International

In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie.

Dr. Ghali

In their hearts is a sickness. So Allah has increased them in sickness, and for them is a painful torment for (that) they used to lie.

Indonesian

Dalam hati mereka ada penyakit, lalu ditambah Allah penyakitnya; dan bagi mereka siksa yang pedih, disebabkan mereka berdusta.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ

وإذا قيل لهم لا تفسدوا في الأرض قالوا إنما نحن مصلحون

{ وإذا قيل لهم } أي لهؤلاء { لا تفسدوا في الأرض } بالكفر والتعويق عن الإيمان. { قالوا إنما نحن مصلحون } وليس ما نحن فيه بفساد . قال الله تعالى رداً عليهم.

Sahih International

And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers."

Dr. Ghali

And when it is said to them, "Do not corrupt in the earth, " they say, "Surely we are only doers of righteousness." (i.e. reformers, peacemakers)

Indonesian

Dan bila dikatakan kepada mereka: "Janganlah kamu membuat kerusakan di muka bumi". Mereka menjawab: "Sesungguhnya kami orang-orang yang mengadakan perbaikan".

أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْمُفْسِدُونَ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ

ألا إنهم هم المفسدون ولكن لا يشعرون

{ ألا } للتنبيه { إنهم هم المفسدون ولكن لا يشعرون } بذلك.

Sahih International

Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not.

Dr. Ghali

Verily, they, (only) they, are surely the corruptors, but they are not aware.

Indonesian

Ingatlah, sesungguhnya mereka itulah orang-orang yang membuat kerusakan, tetapi mereka tidak sadar.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُوا كَمَا آمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَا آمَنَ السُّفَهَاءُ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ السُّفَهَاءُ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ

وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا كما آمن الناس قالوا أنؤمن كما آمن السفهاء ألا إنهم هم السفهاء ولكن لا يعلمون

{ وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا كما آمن الناس } أصحاب النبي { قالوا أنؤمن كما آمن السفهاء } الجهال أي لا نفعل كفعلهم. قال تعالى ردا َعليهم: { ألا إنهم هم السفهاء ولكن لا يعلمون } ذلك.

Sahih International

And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they know [it] not.

Dr. Ghali

And when it is said to them, "Believe just as mankind has believed, " they say, "Shall we believe just as the fools have believed?" Verily, they, (only) they, are surely the fools, but they do not know.

Indonesian

Apabila dikatakan kepada mereka: "Berimanlah kamu sebagaimana orang-orang lain telah beriman". Mereka menjawab: "Akan berimankah kami sebagaimana orang-orang yang bodoh itu telah beriman?" Ingatlah, sesungguhnya merekalah orang-orang yang bodoh; tetapi mereka tidak tahu.

وَإِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا إِلَىٰ شَيَاطِينِهِمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُسْتَهْزِئُونَ

وإذا لقوا الذين آمنوا قالوا آمنا وإذا خلوا إلى شياطينهم قالوا إنا معكم إنما نحن مستهزئون

{ وإذا لقوا } أصله لقيوا حذفت الضمة للاستثقال ثم الياء لالتقائها ساكنة مع الواو { الذين آمنوا قالوا آمنا وإذا خلوا } منهم ورجعوا { إلى شياطينهم } رؤسائهم { قالوا إنا معكم } في الدين { إِنَّما نحن مستهزئون } بهم بإظهار الإيمان.

Sahih International

And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers."

Dr. Ghali

And when they meet the ones who have believed they say, "We have believed, " and when they go apart to their shayatin, (The all-vicious (ones), i.e. devils) they say, "Surely we are with you; surely we are only mocking.

Indonesian

Dan bila mereka berjumpa dengan orang-orang yang beriman, mereka mengatakan: "Kami telah beriman". Dan bila mereka kembali kepada syaitan-syaitan mereka, mereka mengatakan: "Sesungguhnya kami sependirian dengan kamu, kami hanyalah berolok-olok".

اللَّهُ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِهِمْ وَيَمُدُّهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

الله يستهزئ بهم ويمدهم في طغيانهم يعمهون

{ الله يستهزئ بهم } يجازيهم باستهزائهم { ويمدهم } يُمهلهم { في طغيانهم } بتجاوزهم الحد بالكفر { يعمهون } يترددون تحيراً حال.

Sahih International

[But] Allah mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly.

Dr. Ghali

Allah mocks them and grants them extension in blundering in their inordinance.

Indonesian

Allah akan (membalas) olok-olokan mereka dan membiarkan mereka terombang-ambing dalam kesesatan mereka.

أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الضَّلَالَةَ بِالْهُدَىٰ فَمَا رَبِحَت تِّجَارَتُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ

أولئك الذين اشتروا الضلالة بالهدى فما ربحت تجارتهم وما كانوا مهتدين

{ أولئك الذين اشتروا الضلالة بالهدى } أي استبدلوها به { فما ربحت تجارتهم } أي ما ربحوا فيها بل خسروا لمصيرهم إلي النار المؤبدة عليهم { وما كانوا مهتدين } فيما فعلوا.

Sahih International

Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided.

Dr. Ghali

Those are they who have traded errancy (at the price of) guidance; so, in no way has their commerce gained (anything) and in no way have they been rightly-guided.

Indonesian

Mereka itulah orang yang membeli kesesatan dengan petunjuk, maka tidaklah beruntung perniagaan mereka dan tidaklah mereka mendapat petunjuk.

مَثَلُهُمْ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا فَلَمَّا أَضَاءَتْ مَا حَوْلَهُ ذَهَبَ اللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ فِي ظُلُمَاتٍ لَّا يُبْصِرُونَ

مثلهم كمثل الذي استوقد نارا فلما أضاءت ما حوله ذهب الله بنورهم وتركهم في ظلمات لا يبصرون

{ مثلهم } صفتهم في نفاقهم { كمثل الذي استوقد } أوقد { ناراً } في ظلمة { فلما أضاءت } أنارت { ما حوله } فأبصر واستدفأ وأمن مما يخافه { ذهب الله بنورهم } أطفأه وجُمع الضمير مراعاة لمعنى الذي { وتركهم في ظلمات لا يبصرون } ما حولهم متحيرين عن الطريق خائفين فكذلك هؤلاء أمِنوا بإظهار كلمة الإيمان فإذا ماتوا جاءهم الخوف والعذاب.

Sahih International

Their example is that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness [so] they could not see.

Dr. Ghali

The likeness of them is as the likeness of one who set to kindle a fire; so, as soon as it illuminated whatever is around him, Allah went away with their light, (i.e., took away their light)and left them in darkness (es) (where) they do not behold (anything).

Indonesian

Perumpamaan mereka adalah seperti orang yang menyalakan api, maka setelah api itu menerangi sekelilingnya Allah hilangkan cahaya (yang menyinari) mereka, dan membiarkan mereka dalam kegelapan, tidak dapat melihat.

صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ

صم بكم عمي فهم لا يرجعون

هم { صمٌّ } عن الحق فلا يسمعونه سماع قبول { بكم } خرس عن الخير فلا يقولونه { عميٌ } عن طريق الهدى فلا يرونه { فهم لا يرجعون } عن الضلالة.

Sahih International

Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path].

Dr. Ghali

Deaf, dumb, blind, so they will not return.

Indonesian

Mereka tuli, bisu dan buta, maka tidaklah mereka akan kembali (ke jalan yang benar),

أَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَاتٌ وَرَعْدٌ وَبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِم مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ مُحِيطٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ

أو كصيب من السماء فيه ظلمات ورعد وبرق يجعلون أصابعهم في آذانهم من الصواعق حذر الموت والله محيط بالكافرين

{ أو } مثلهم { كصيِّب } أي كأصحاب مطر وأصله صيوب من صاب يصوب أي ينزل { من السماء } السحاب { فيه } أي السحاب { ظلمات } متكاثفة { ورعد } هو الملك الموكَّل به وقيل صوته { وبرق } لمعان صوته الذي يزجره به { يجعلون } أي أصحاب الصيِّب { أصابعهم } أي أناملها { في آذانهم من } أجل { الصواعق } شدة صوت الرعد لئلا يسمعوها { حذر } خوف { الموت } من سماعها. كذلك هؤلاء :إذا نزل القرآن وفيه ذكر الكفر المشبه بالظلمات والوعيد عليه المشبه بالرعد والحجج البينة المشبهة بالبرق، يسدون آذانهم لئلا يسمعوه فيميلوا إلى الإيمان وترك دينهم وهو عندهم موت { والله محيط بالكافرين } علماً وقدرة فلا يفوتونه.

Sahih International

Or [it is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allah is encompassing of the disbelievers.

Dr. Ghali

Or as a cloudburst from the heaven in which are darknesses, and thunder, and lightning. They set their fingers in their ears against stunning (thunderbolts), wary of death, and Allah is Supremely Encompassing the disbelievers.

Indonesian

atau seperti (orang-orang yang ditimpa) hujan lebat dari langit disertai gelap gulita, guruh dan kilat; mereka menyumbat telinganya dengan anak jarinya, karena (mendengar suara) petir, sebab takut akan mati. Dan Allah meliputi orang-orang yang kafir.
